Nothing really. Just been busy working n' bassin'. Picked up some 80's signature model bongos with fresh skins. Those have been cool to start banging on.

The solstice just about passed me by. 😅

Can you play Native American rhythms on bongos? They're quite different from a powwow drum, but it should be possible. You could play two-handed simultaneously, for the choral effect; or use pitch instead of intensity for the accent beats, which would make signals a lot easier to hear. I've heard people transpose doumbek music to bongos: use the lower bongo for the "doum" and higher for the "bek" notes.

I don't necessarily care about playing anything any particular ways. I do what I want.


I don't want to be constricted to only being able to do exactly what my ancestors have done. Or what anyone else has done in the past I'm all about experimentation, creativity, and progress. It is art, afterall.

Eventually, I'll get your typical powwow drum. Before that, I need the money and space for it! lol.

Ultimately, it'd be nice to have a handful of people playing drums. Have a full rhythm section for Eloquence Of Dread.
