Here's a list of netcasts (podcasts) by and for First Nations Peoples. So far, this list only covers Turtle Island.

  •     Unreserved
The radio space for Indigenous voices — our cousins, our aunties, our elders, our heroes. Rosanna Deerchild guides us on the path to better understand our shared story. Together, we learn and unlearn, laugh and become gentler in all our relations

  •     Indigenous Vision
Hosted by Souta Calling Last (Blackfoot) and produced by co-host Melissa Spence (Anishinaabe).
“Two aunties sharing and examining the world through the lens of an Anishinaabe and Blackfoot experience.“

  •     Native Opinion
A current affairs netcast from an Indigenous perspective. Hosted by Michael Kickingbear (Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation)  and David Greyowl (Eastern Band Cherokee).
This was a great show for a long time but, they sparely release episodes these days.

  •     Native Calgarian
I am Red Thunderwoman. I am a Sahtu Dene, a mother, wife, activist, political organizer, podcast host and have "Indian Status" imposed by the Canadian Government. I have been involved in the political world on the federal, provincial and municipal levels.  I was the first First Nations woman to run for Calgary City Council, and I ran to be a provincial MLA.  I have also been a very active volunteer for numerous non profit events and organizations, school, community events, and politics at the federal level.

  •     Media Indigena
An Indigenous owned + operated current affairs podcast, MEDIA INDIGENA also features first peoples news, views and creative expression.
Every episode features a round table that does not hold back. Settlers be ware! >:P

  •     All My Relations
Hosted by Matika Wilbur (Swinomish and Tulalip) and Temryss Lane (Lummi Nation) to explore our relationships— relationships to land, to our creatural relatives, and to one another. Each episode invites guests to delve into a different topic facing Native peoples today as we keep it real, play games, laugh a lot, and even cry sometimes.

  •     Native America Calling
A live call-in program linking public radio stations, the Internet and listeners together in a thought-provoking national conversation about issues specific to Native communities. Each program engages noted guests and experts with callers throughout the United States and is designed to improve the quality of life for Native Americans. Native America Calling is heard on nearly 90 public, community and tribal radio stations in the United States and in Canada. Our program is a production of Koahnic Broadcast Corporation, a Native-operated media center in Anchorage, Alaska.

  •     Native Seed Pod
Celebrates the diversity and beauty of Native seeds, soils, and Indigenous foods. From planting songs to cultural foodscapes, we highlight the importance of protecting and restoring agrobiodiversity and food sovereignty to sustain resilient communities.

  •     The Red Nation Podcast
Features disscussions on Indigenous history, politics, and culture from a left perspective. Hosted by Nick Estes and Jen Marley with help from our friend and comrade Sina. TRNP is also the home of Red Power Hour, hosted by Melanie Yazzie and Elena Ortiz. Our show is entirely supported by fans.

  •     Indianz.com
Frequently updated with shorter clips about politics. Lots of stuff going on here. Hear it here first!

  •     The Indigenous Cafe
Bringing you Music, Conversation and Inspiration from the Indigenous people of North American and the World. This one seems to have hit pause back in 2022. Unknown if it'll ever reprise.

Do you listen to any of these?
Do you have any to recommend?

Please note if they are no longer in production, either because the story arc is over or because the hosts/network decided to quit.
Please no linking to spotify as they are very bad for the shows, listeners, and everyone other than themselves and ad brokers.

I strongly recommend using either Podverse or AntennaPod.

I don't listen to podcasts or netcasts. I boosted the signal though.

Do you have favorite sites for tribal news articles?
